For yet another year, the educational centres of Hospitalet de Llobregat have celebrated the conclusion of the Agenda 21 escolar in the gardens of the Centro Cultural Metropolitano Tecla Sala. More than 300 primary and secondary school students from around thirty schools and colleges participated in the event, which took place on June 1st, 2018. During the party, participants were able to share projects and enjoy many different workshops run by various entities, institutions and collaborating companies, all related to the environment.
The A21 is a joint project of the City Council and the Comunitat Educativa Projecte, which began in 2001 and which invites schools to carry out concrete actions in their daily activities that contribute to sustainability and environmental protection.
Baixbus has collaborated once again in this closure celebration with the installation of a hybrid bus and with a special edition of “Puja al Bus!”, an educational programme managed by DUNA Educació, Mobilitat i Sostenibilitat. The participants were able to learn about the operation of the hybrid bus and the importance of this technology in reducing pollutant emissions, as well as the need to follow minimum safety and civility standards both on board the bus and at the stops.
This concluding event is the culmination of a school year full of activities that have allowed students to deepen their understanding of the values of sustainability.
