Last Friday, October 27th, we attended SIMO Education, the Technology for Teaching Fair, which was held at IFEMA – Feria de Madrid.
SIMO, a reference platform for technology oriented to teaching activity, does an important job in helping teaching professionals to become familiar with technology and its application in schools or universities.
The fair had 300 speakers who debated the usefulness of media such as neuroscience, emotional education, detection of dyslexia or green pedagogy. Great variety of resources for the technological control and programming of the brand TTS, with its spectacular robots.
For the fourth consecutive year, the platform once again emphasizes the multiple opportunities opened up by the use of ICTs in an informative and participatory format to act as a methodological change and improve teaching activity in all stages of education.
Once again, all teachers were invited to submit their most innovative didactic proposal or ICT project. The selection was particularly complex in this call: a total of around 350 proposals were received, all of which were of high quality. Among these, 30 experiences were selected, which address diverse topics: robotics and programming for auditory and linguistic rehabilitation; programs for the development of children’s emotional competencies, or to enhance multiple intelligence; multidisciplinary projects through the use of Scratch and 3D design; applications of the methodology SOLE (Self-Managed Learning Environments), project work, cooperative learning, gamification, flipped classroom.
