Last 11th and 12th of November, from DUNA we accompanied the TRAM team enlivening its stand at the Expoelectric fair in Barcelona.

The Expoelectric is the meeting point for electric vehicles, a pioneering initiative that, in its seventh edition, aims to bring electric vehicles closer to the public through a series of recreational and informative activities. The purpose of Expoelectric is to promote energy saving and encourage efficient driving, to consolidate the electric vehicle as a transformation engine of the city and as an alternative for urban and inter-urban mobility that cancels or minimizes polluting emissions, and also to promote the meeting of companies and entrepreneurs in this sector with potential consumers and to facilitate the creation of synergies between professionals.

The initiative aims to show the whole family the benefits of using electric transport by means of several activities programmed throughout the day: recreational areas where they can learn about and put into practice the virtues of sustainable transport, talks to find out about the advantages of electric vehicles and self-consumption, and even a space where an interactive and 100% efficient housing is recreated.

TRAM is a 100% electric public transport system, so it takes part in the Expoelectric with a space to promote the tram as an efficient and sustainable transport system through different activities:

  • TRAM energy: activity to know the process that is carried out from the generation of energy, its transport and consumption to TRAM.
  • What do you know about the TRAM?: interactive contest with prizes for the best connoisseurs of energy performance and of the TRAM.
  • Set up your own TRAM: distribution of cutouts in the form of a tram so that children can assemble it and take a souvenir with them.

The event closes with great success: more than 16,000 citizens have visited the Expoelectric during the two days of the event; more than 100 electric vehicles and powered by other efficient technologies circulated through the streets of the city; in total, more than 650 car tests and 500 tests of motorcycles and electric bicycles were carried out.
