DUNA has collaborated in the creation of the contents of the new didactic guide of robotics for children’s education, a project promoted by the GRUPO EDEBÉ with the support of the RO-BOTICA space and shop. Edebé is a publishing group that emerged in the early 1980s and specialises in educational content. Its main lines of business are textbooks and children’s/ young people’s literature.
We are proud to have participated in the process of writing the texts of a didactic guide designed to introduce educational robotics into the classroom, an interdisciplinary teaching system that promotes the development of skills and competencies in students. Robotics enhances discovery learning as a problem-solving tool and initiates students into the programming language spontaneously through play.
The educational robot chosen for this project is Bee-Bot, which offers the necessary functionalities to introduce the programming language at early ages (from 3 to 7 years old). This attractive robot in the shape of a bee is easily adaptable to any project, subject or content that is being developed in the classroom, and allows for activities that combine manipulation and experimentation.
